Dilyak Drupon Rinpoche

Nalandabodhi Canada Open Retreat 2016

October 7 to 10, 2016

A weekend of teachings on the Thirty-Seven Practices of a Bodhisattva

Dilyak Drupon Rinpoche continues the theme of training the mind in bodhichitta, which he introduced last year with his clear and deep teachings on lojong. This year’s text summarizes the heart essence of a bodhisattva’s conduct, providing a clear method for developing our motivation in a way that can be brought into our lived experience. Please join us at the beautiful Nottawasaga Inn Resort near Toronto, Ontario, on Thanksgiving / Columbus Day weekend.

Dilyak Drupon Rinpoche was born in Bhutan on August 8, 1965, and recognized as a tulku by HH the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa. He was officially enthroned as the second Dilyak Drupon Rinpoche at the age of six, in Rumtek. In 1974 he received novice vows from HH the 16th Karmapa, and later bodhisattva vows. He was trained as a youth by His Holiness and other great lamas of Rumtek, and attended HH the 16th Karmapa during his trip to the West in 1981. Rinpoche is a graduate of the Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies, from which he received a degree of Acharya.
